Come with me as I set the scene here, because who doesn’t love a good backstory?
It’s September 2022. Tom and I just got married, living our best lives up in Saranac Lake, enjoying our time away from work, when we get this incredible inquiry from a NYC-based couple. The groom has reached out looking for photographers, and here’s the lowdown: they’re eloping in a small upstate city, with just close friends and family, many of whom they haven’t seen since pre-pandemic days, and are looking for an editorial vibe because his soon-to-be wife is the most beautiful, gracious, stunning woman he has ever seen and wants to capture her essence, her beauty, her shining brightness and radiance.
A DREAM COME TRUE.
Here’s the catch, it’s in three weeks, on the cusp of what is slated to be our busiest season yet. But luck is on all of our sides, as the weekend they have decided to elope is the only free weekend we had left until, well, I guess when I’ve started to write this.
The serendipity of the universe is a wonderful thing. Photography allows us to meet some of the most incredible people, and to witness love unfold before your eyes, which you then get to capture, a keepsake people will have forever is really a wonderful gift I never knew I would get to have in life. What a wonderful journey it has been!
Also. ROOFTOP FIRST LOOK PHOTOS. Please excuse me as I melt into the floor as I relive these photos.
Thanks for coming to our little corner of the internet to share in celebrating K+K and the wonderful photos and memories we were able to share and capture and experience with them.
